OPA!!!!!

My Greece adventure is about to be done! I'm heading to Rome, Italy tomorrow early morning at 6 am!! From there, I'll be going to Milan to meet up with another friend. Will be staying in Milan for a night and then head to Zurich and Geneva, Switzerland. After that will be going to Prague, Czech Republic! whew....that's a load of traveling! I'm a bit worn out and sunburned from hanging out at the beach at Corfu.

My favourite island would have to be Santorini! I loved it there! We joined a day excursion! We climbed a volcano, swam in the hot spring, and saw the sunset in Oia! The one thing I didn't like about Santorini is that the tap water is a bit salted.  I didn't drink it but when I rinsed my mouth when I brushed my teeth I can taste it that it's a bit different.  And after taking a shower I can feel that I don't feel as clean. Either than that Santorini was pretty great.  We stayed at a hotel just 2 minutes walk from Parissa beach. It's quite a pretty lovely beach.

Naxos was pretty boring because there is no day excursions  offered and we had to get around in a bus. We could've got around in a scooter or ATV but I stupidly didn't bring my driver's license with me! I didn't think I'm going to need it! So we just took a bus ride to some town called Aphrondite? I think that's how it's spelled.

Crete was good. as I said on my last post. we hung out in different town each day. Hania was my favorite one of all.  The hostel we stayed was pretty ...ummm...what's the word for it....hmm....different and unsafe? I think that's the best I can describe the hostel. The manager is a heavy drinker but nonetheless a pretty good manager.  The shower/toilet is in another building and it's semi outdoorsy. and the scariest thing is that there's no lock in the door! I was a bit nervous taking a shower there or going to the toilet. Some pervert can just easily open the door when I'm doing my business or taking a shower! I was not comfortable with that! And what's more it's a coed shower/toilet!! so not comfortable! the good thing is that it's semi outdoor so it's doesn't smell as much! but overall it's a good hostel.

Our last island was Corfu. We stayed at this hostel called the Pink Palace. A well known party place for backpackers from North America. Believe it or not, the hostel is actually pink! Very cheesy and just pink!  Free breakfast and dinner was offered so it's was all good! And let's just say there were a lot drunks in the hostel! I'm almost embarrassed when I see some drunk who is from Canada! I hang my head down in shame! But I don't blame them since most of them are young (early 20's) and carefree so it's a great age to party it up and have some fun before you settle down and become a real adult in the real world!  I know I was once like that!

Lastly, I'm so sick of gyros. Been eating it almost everyday now. Unfortunately, there's no instant noodles around. I went around to most of the supermarket and they don't sell instant noodles anywhere! aaaahhhhh!!

well, it's been a fun ride so far and I'm looking forward to Italy, Switzerland and Czech Republic!

oh I like to say a big hello to Wendy who I met in Cairns, Australia!! *waves* hope you are doing well!! XD

Crete, Greece...

Southest island among the Greek isles! It's been pretty cold here though!  We are staying in Rethimno.  A pretty small city smack in the middle of the island. We went to Hania yesterday. A city in the west side of Crete. Very pretty there. Ate lunch at a restaurant on the harbour and the best part is there is a very hawt looking Greek waiter there! I was TOTALLY ENJOYING THE VIEW!!! XD He flirted with us and then at the end of our lunch right when we asked for the bill, he came up to us with some greek liquor! I forgot the name of it.  don't even know how to spell it.  anyways, yep it was free and we had a shot including the hawt waiter! all in all it was a fun day!

We try not to eat at a restaurant since it's so freakin' pricey! so we've been eating a lot of PITA GYROS!!!!  2,50 euros for one! There delicious. and it filled loads of stuff so eating one would be enough to fill up my tummy! We also been walking around alot and just enjoying the time here! ahhh... too bad I  havent' been able to learn that much greek since everyone  here knows English! Thank Goodness! I'm amazed at how multi-lingual the Europeans are unlike Canada!

anyways, I'll be heading to Santorini tomorrow!! I can't wait! We'll be hanging out in the beach and just totally relax!

so Vancouver has been getting A. LOT. OF. SNOW. lately.  The biggest snow storm I ever experienced.  The snow piled up til my waist!! That's like totally unheard of in Vancouver! I had to shovel the snow twice this week. My body is in so much PAIN!!!!

Experiencing this snow storm has let me to wonder about how you people who live in the town/city that get snow every winter survive. I mean do you guys shovel the snow everyday?  I know for sure you guys have to change to winter tires every winter, right? I don't change my tires at all. I have the four seasons one.  Do the residential streets get plowed? Our main roads get plowed but the residential street is pretty left alone.  My street has not been plowed. My neighbour have been having a lot of trouble driving out to the main road. There was one in particular a few houses down had no problem getting out of their driveway but that's it. The van couldn't go anymore. It was just stuck there. There were people out helping out but nothing worked.  It got me really worried about what I'm going to do if the snow does not melt by Monday.  I don't want to get my car stuck in the middle of the road outside my driveway!! That would be awful!! It rained today for a bit but it wasn't big enough to melt the snow! ahh..I'm hoping that there will be more rain to come tomorrow!!

So far this winter has been the coldest one we had in years!  it's been so cold that the pipe between the laundry and the kitchen sink was frozen and then later on burst/broken.  Water came spattering out and flooded the laundry room and storage room. It  was also the same day that I stayed home from work because I was snowed in. I spent most of the day shovelling the snow. When I finished I walked into the storage room only to find out that it was flooded. I heard some noise coming from the laundry room.  I opened it and saw water spattering out the pipe!! I totally freaked out and called my Mom.  She said to turn off the main switch which I did.  And then proceeded to remove the water in the storage room and the laundry room.  Seriously, it was the worst day of my life!! It was a nightmare came true.  My body was already in pain from shoveling the snow and after that I had to remove the water in the storage and laundry room.  I was just in near tears.  Thinking about what did I do to deserve this shit.  I've been a good girl. what did I do to deserve this shit?

This gives me more reason to want to move to somewhere warm. Somewhere that doesn't rain a lot! Somewhere that only have one season! Don't get me wrong I love snow....sometimes. I love to play in the snow. I love to make snow man and run around in the snow. I love to sit in front of the window and drink hot cocoa and be all relax. But I hate having to wear layers and layers on clothes added on with a heavy coat. I also hate when it rains too much. It rains a lot here. Sometimes it gets pretty depressing. I just want to be somewhere sunny and warm everyday.

end of rant....
nekkidnessNaruSasu
Dear Santa,

So it's that time of year again. I bet you've been busy checking the list. You found out whose been naughty or nice. Not sure if you had the time to check on my status yet. Well, I've been a very good girl.  In fact, I've been so good that for the first time ever I've decided to write to you and give you my Christmas wish list. Don't worry, my list is not that long.  I just want one thing.

hmmm...how should I put this? I'm sick of being single. I've been waiting and looking for my Knight in Shining Armour, my soulmate, my Prince, my Mr. Darcy, my Mr. Right. Where is he?  Can you please bring him to me? I've tried online dating. I've tried speed dating. I've tried getting my friends to help me.  What do I have to do to find him?

I know nowadays women should not depend on men. I know that it's considered weak if a woman depends on a man to find happiness.  But after reading so many fairy tales and romance novels, it just becomes natural to want the "live happily ever after".   I don't think it's wrong to want that. I don't think it's wrong to want to find the love of your life and want to spend the rest of your life living happily with him.

When I'm feeling down and depressed. When nothing seems to be going right. When I'm going through a really rough time.  It would be nice to have someone I love to tell me that everything is going to be alright.  That he'll be my support through the tough times.  Someone to make my life a bit more easier.  Someone to take care of me. Someone who can make me laugh. Someone who can make me happy.   Someone who will do anything for me. Someone who will love me unconditionally. Of course, I'll also be there for him when he needs it.

Sadly though as each year goes by, I've become more and more jaded about love. I've become more and more jaded about ever finding my Knight in Shining Armour.  I've tried everything and it seems like I will never find him.  I'm tired. TIRED of this.  Maybe it's just my luck that I will never find my soulmate. Maybe I'll end up settling. Maybe I'll end up all alone.

So yeah, Santa, all I want for Christmas is a my soulmate. I know it's a lot to ask but if you can just give me this I'll be eternally grateful.  I hope to see him under my Christmas tree. XD

Thanks for taking the time to read my rants/ramblings. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

xoxo

Happy Holidays, Flist!! Will post more soon since I'll have nothing to do in the next few days. I hope to play some FF9 while I'm free and maybe start reading/watching a new anime/manga series.  ^_^

korobokkur!!!!

muahahaha....I got some of you guys curious about my new obsession!! I was gonna post about my Aussie trip but I don't think anyone is interested anyway. maybe later I'll post some pics of it. just so I can spam my flist. muahahaha! yesh, i is evil.

so i might as well come out with it. My new obsession is HONEY and CLOVER aka Hachimitsu to Clover aka HachiKuro!!!! It's a series by Chika Umino. I mean, seriously, where and how should I start raving about this series. I am utterly head over heels in love with this series especially the anime.

The series is basically about the lives and relationships of 5 art college students. It's about unrequited love, it's about college life, and it's about self discovery.  Things that pretty much everyone has experienced in their lives. It has realism to it. Chika Umino has done an excellent job writing/drawing that experience. The anime team (JC staff) has done an awesome job adapting the manga.  It's like watching Friends except it's about some college students. A lot of fans describe the series as a slice of life kind of manga. Very true indeed!

It's a pretty old manga. It started in 2000 and ended sometime in 2006. The anime came out in 2005 to 2006. Ahhh....If only I have known about this series back then! I would've LOVE to discuss this series with other H&C fans.  There are so much stuff I wanted to say and talk about!! Particulary, MoritaXHagu! XD

It is so awesome, pwnsome, and just pure LOVE!! I am totally ADDICTED to it!!  By far one of the best anime I've ever seen!! The story was well written.  The seiyuu were superb. Yuji Ueda is dayum AWESOME!! He is now one of my fave seiyuu.   The animation/art was beyond EPIC. The SONGS were ADDICTING. Songs by Suga Shikao, Spitz, Suneohair, Yuki!! I especially LOVE Suga Shikao!! His songs and his voice is so MESMERISING!! I am so in love with him!!! <3

one of the insert song by Suga Shikao! )

I found Honey and Clover by accident. I didn't even know of it's existence until last month when I was so bored out of mind with shounen stuff. I mean, Bleach, anyone? It's nothing but one fight after another! *yawns* I need to take a break from all the fights!!!

So, it all started with me trying to find a good Korean/Japanese/Taiwanese show to watch at crunchyroll. I found one called, "It started with a Kiss". Read some comments/reviews about it and found out that there is an anime version of it called  'Itazura na Kiss'. Heck Yeah, says I! I'm checking out the anime version! It's was a good series of course but I'll post more about this later.  The point is I wanted to find more anime similar to Itazura na kiss. Something with romance, comedy and most importantly NO FIGHTING!!  I somehow found Honey and Clover in Wikipedia under the list of josei manga. The name look fimiliar for some reason so I decided to check it out and I immediately fell in love with it! It captured my soul in the first episode!!

The series is just so awesome that I now want to own the manga and the DVD.  Yes, it is that awesome. A few weeks ago, I ran off to Sakura Media (local anime/manga store) to get the manga and the DVD only to find out that it's closed down for renovation until November!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!one  I was so enraged and sad!! I wasn't able to get my HONEY AND CLOVER!!!!! *sad face*  I am counting down the days til Sakura Media opens it's doors again!!! XD

Anyways, I think I rambled on too much.  I will definitely ramble some more about H&C in my future posts! so watch out!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

aww doods, it's been a while since I've posted anything.  I've been busy during May, June and part of July because I had to do overtime at work.  We had a deadline to meet to submit our work before mid July.  Yep, we made it before the deadline mainly due to the fact that we worked in the weekends too.  arghh...I was so glad we made it!  Plus, since it's summer, I was pretty much doing more outdoor-sy stuff than staying inside in front of my comp.  When it was raining, I spent my time watching Korean drama show.  So yeah, been busy doing other stuff.

Ok, let's get on with my Australia pics that I promised to show way back in May! I had put most of it up on Facebook.  So far I only had Perth and parts of Melbourne up. So here's the link to it!!  Not sure if it will work or not.  If you have to sign in to see them please tell me so I can do something about it!!

anyways, that's all for now. I'll post about Sydney and Cairns soon!

-----

I would also like to take this time to mention about the earthquake that had occurred in China and the cyclone that hit Burma a few months ago.  It was a very sad and tragic event.  Every time I watched the news, I do nothing but cry for those victims.  What hurts me most is the fact that these victims don't have much anyways and then this kind of stuff happens. *sigh* very sad...

Yosh! You read it right! I'm back home! Been back since May 6. Was supposed to be back on May 1. >.<  It's all because of this airline.  It was such a good airline too.  It left Vancouver on time and arrived Hong Kong on time.   The service  was way better than some other airlines I've taken.   The food was decent.  The movies provided were good.  The airfare was  cheap.  It wasn't a full flight. I have no idea why it didn't do so well.  The airline opened 2 years ago and the owner was hoping that they make money by the 2nd year. Unfortunately, it didn't go as planned.  They were losing money instead.  I was sad to hear the news.....well...actually........I was pretty pissed when I first found out what happened.....

alright...I think I rambled to much already.  Maybe tomorrow I'll post about my Australia trip and put up some pics too!!

Nice to be back! I miss you all!! I've been reading all your updates!  *huggles f-list*

Just the way I like it.  Been here since April 3. came here for ching ming.  I haven't been feelng well today. feels like I'm sick. I think it's because I sleep with my hair still wet with the air condition on.  ughh...I hope I get better tomorrow because I'll be heading to Australia in 2 days! I can't afford to be sick.

so far the trip is going good....just good.  I'm eathing alot though.  That's the first thing I think about whenever I come back to M'sia. The FOOD!! so many good food that I can't get in Canada.  well...there are some I can get but they come withh a price! Satay, Kaya jam with bread, the tea, fresh coconut!, sugar cane drink. oh man just thinking about it makes me go hungry.  I hope to walk off the pounds I'm gaining when I'm in Australia!

I'm so glad my aunt....well more like my uncle has a laptop and internet!! I was going crazy because all I can think of is my Naruto!! *cries* ...heh, i'm so pathetic.  anyways, the internet speed is so freakin' slow because they are using dial-up!  It took me almost ONE HOUR to read a 17 page Naruto chapter!! aww man....you have no idea what pain I was going through.  but the good thing is I read the chapter.  now...I have to go check out Inuyahsa and Bleach.  ><

anyways, yeah, I miss you all. and I will have internet when I get to Perth! booyah!!

ugh..haven't been around lately due to stuff....I am now in HONG KONG!!!!! I've been busy for the past month going crazy just planning out this trip!! I will be heading off to Malaysia next week and then to Australia for about 3 weeks!! *sigh* It's seriously not easy to plan a big trip. I nearly pulled out my hair a couple of times! At first I thought of heading straight to Australia and then take a side trip to Malaysia from there but wasn't sure what's the best way to go about it. I asked my Uncle for help which I kinda regret doing.  He then insisted that I should to go Hong Kong and from there I should fly to Malaysia and then to Australia. This way is way more cheaper than to go straight to Australia and then a side trip to Malaysia. I didn't like that idea at first since this way I will have less time in Australia but my Uncle kept on insisting on this way. I didn't want to go against him so I went ahead with his idea.  Not good...mainly due to the fact that he had to help me get the HK-Malaysia-Australia ticket from HK.  I had no control over it at all! I was freaking out the last 3 weeks before my flight to HK because NOTHING was confirmed yet except for my flight to HK from Vancouver! ugh...I was so STRESSED!!!  I finally have some flight confirmation on the week I was to leave Vancouver. I had to alot of last minute preparation to do!

of course it didn't help when A LOT OF MAJOR STUFF HAPPENED IN NARUTO!!!! I think I'll talk about it in later.  I was pretty much procrastinating  doing my travel plans.  And another big mistake I did was to start watching a Korean Drama in the midst of all this!!  Looking back now I wish I have just shoot myself for my stupidity. I should NOT start watching a K-drama when I have other stuff to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Seriously, once you start watching it, you won't be able to stop until the you watch the last episode! It's so addicting!!

I don't know if I should go on another long trip again. Just way too stressful.  Too much planning involve. I wish I can just take a plane to a country I want to visit and just go wherever I feel like with NO planning involve!  I always wanted to do that.  The two girls I met last year in Paris did something similar.  the only planning they did is the return flight to Europe and the Eurorail ticket.  They went trekking around Italy and Greece for 6 weeks just taking their time going from city to city. Once they had enough of the city they left to go somewhere else. They were able to that mainly because they traveled during the off season.  Accommodations were a lot easier to find.    ahh..just too bad I can't really do that in Australia.  The cities are pretty wide apart from eachother. Not like Europe at all. oh well...

Went to Micheal Buble's concert last night. Enjoyed it very much.  He went to the same highschool as me.  He's a year older though. It was a sold out concert. My seat was all the way in the nose bleed section.  I was still able to see him from the big screen. He seems like very down to earth guy who never forgot where he came from.  It's weird that someone from my highschool has made it big and now is able to travel around the world.  He was on Oprah recently singing with the likes of Tony Bennett, Josh Groban and other famous singers.  Just amazing how well he has done.  I first knew about him when he was on Regis and Kelly show a few years ago. When I heard his name, I had a feeling I recognize that name somewhere. It was not until I told my friend about this that she told me he went to the same highschool as us.  I was like, :O no freakin' way!!!  check out my fave song sang by him....

one of the most beautiful song I ever heard in my life.  Everytime I go traveling somewhere now, this song always comes into my mind. When he sang this song last night, I got goosebumps. What made it more special is that Vancouver is his home. XD

I've been playing with the Magic 8 ball.

Me: Will NaruHina ever become canon?
magic 8 ball: It is certain.
Me: Yosh!!

Me: will Inuyasha end this year?
magic 8 ball: Without a doubt
Me: wOOt!!

Me: Will I beat Ozma this year?
magic 8 ball: better not tell you now
me: O:

Me: Will Zutara become canon by the end of the series?
magic 8 ball: most likely
Me: XD

So anyone else have any questions for the magic 8 ball? Bring it on!

Went to watch Enchanted with [info]gishkishenh in November and then went to watch it again in December with my friends. I absolutely love the movie! Especially this song....

Seriously, Alan Menken and Stephen Scwartz kick so much ass! Especially Alan Menken! A pure genius.

Oh and another thing, I had the weirdest dream last night.  I dreamt that I woke up somewhere and found out that I had hair growing on my eyelids and my eyebrows grew super bushy too.  Those hairs on my eyelids were super long too.  I was so petrified that I started pulling the hairs out with my hands. o_O   I mean it wasn't anything like Gai's or Lee's kind of eyebrows, it was worst than that!!

I have more stuff to say but I think I'll stop.

oops...I need a subject line....

I caught up with Bleach and finished Gravitation a while ago.  I still have yet to beat Ozma in FF9. I've been playing it sometimes during the weekends when I'm free. I'm determine to beat Ozma by the end of the year though so I can start playing some other game such as FF7, Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil 4, oh and also my Wii games. XDDD I really don't know how I'm going to do this. @_@ I will have to make the time somehow! XDD

Oh, I haven't had a chance to read that many fanfics. I read a few short ones from Manon and one from [info]twistedsheets10 about Kushina and Minato!! Oh that reminds me Naruto latest chapter!

haha! It's been awhile! Been busy working extra hours because I want to take some days off during Christmas and New Years.  I'm so effing exhausted right now but I'll be able to somewhat relax after Dec. 21! I can't wait! My sis and her 2 kids are coming for a visit and also my Uncle and his family from Australia!  I'm not sure if I'll be able to really relax. Seriously, all I want is a day when I can sleep in!!!! Anyways, let's go on with the rest of my trip I took in October, shall we?

hmmm...where did I stop? Oh yeah, I was in Paris...oh sweet Paris.  I was only there for 4 days and there was a metro (local train) strike.  Let me tell ya, I did a LOT OF WALKING WHEN I WAS THERE!!!! ok, onwards!!

After my Paris trip, I went back to London for 2 days. This time I stayed at another hostel from the same chain. It was a few blocks away from the last hostel I stayed at.  This one was SO QUIET!!!  There were no bar, nightclub or hot tub on rooftop.  There was a coffee shop downstairs and it closed at 7pm. I mean some people that stay there sleep before 9 pm!! The total bummer was there was nothing to do in that hostel!!! A total opposite from the party hostel that I stayed in on my first week.  And get this, the washroom was a lot better especially the top floor that happens to be only female dorms!! I didn't stay in the female dorms because it was all booked up but I was able to use their washroom!! It is so freakin' clean!!! I loved that washroom!! It was painted in pink and had lotion provided!! Ha! Now I know where to stay! But the only downside was that there was nothing to do. Not even a TV to watch! *sad face*  Oi, I really can't win! oh well...I didn't do much except do more shopping and washing my dirty clothes!! I had to get ready for my next destination, Dublin!! wOOt!!

This was my first time in Dublin.  I stayed with my Aunt who lives an hour away from the city which is ok since I didn't mind taking the bus.  The only thing that I really remember about Dublin was that it was so COLD AND WINDY!!!!!  I only had 3 tops with me and a jacket.  I wore all of them in layers and it was still too cold!!! I ended up getting a bit of a cough but thank gawd nothing too seriously!! I just REFUSED to get sick!! I could've wore my new clothes but I didn't have the right shoe to wear it with! XD The people there were super friendly! I was lucky enough to meet a young lady at a bus stop while waiting for the bus one night.  We started talking about where we been to and what I did in Dublin.  There was not much stuff to do though. Oh and another thing I remember about Dublin was that there were A LOT OF STATUES!!! I didn't  take any pics of them.  XD  And, and the men there are really good looking! Better looking than the Brits. ^_^

After my trip to Dublin, I flew back to England to England midlands to be exact. My cousin lives in Lincoln so I thought I visit him too! We went to other towns in the midlands. I forgot the names. It was pretty cold there too.  Again, there wasn't much to do.

*yawns* heh, time to go get my beauty sleep! Goodnight!

Yosh! Paris , oh Paris....one of the most romantic city in the world.....I have been to Paris 5 years ago with a tour group.  I didn't get to see much since being on a tour means free time is very restricted.  So this time I decided to go again and really get to know Paris!!

Went to Paris from London on the Eurostar!!  Only took me less than 3 hours! That's the beauty of taking Eurostar there! Only cost me 59 pounds! And the best thing is I had no problem finding my hostel at all.  It was located in the Latin Quarter near a Metro station! This time the hostel was more quieter than the one in London. First of all, there was no bar or nightclub in the hostel. There's bar across from the hostel though.  But it's still is a pretty quiet hostel.  They also provide breakfast!

The best thing of all is that I met so many people from almost all over the world during my stay in that hostel.  There was a girl from South Africa who is studying in London and only have 6 days visa to travel around Europe.  She only stayed in Paris for a night and she went off to Rome, Italy the next day.  I also met two girls from Vancouver! Small world, eh?  They were traveling around for 6 weeks through Italy and Greece and their last week happened to be Paris.  There was also a guy from Argentina who was hoping to get into the World cup rugby that Paris is hosting for a few weeks.  An American guy from North Carolina who used to be in the army.  And many, many more people!! That's what I love about staying in hostel! A great way to meet people and chat about their country and their travelings!  We would all sit around in our room and talk after we all get back from our sightseeing during the day and talked about our day and our traveling so far.  We would talked about where we came from and what each of our country is like.  Just sitting around and chit chat until we are all ready for bed!! It felt like slumber party!! hee hee....

The only problem is the shower.  T_T  It was horrible cold showers!! well, not really cold more like warmish cold showers!!  And it's one of those press button one!!!  They were also doing some painting on my third day and one of the showers stall door can't close properly. Another shower stall door had a loose lock.  Another one had no water coming out!!!!! wah!! I was very disappointed with the showers!!! But other than that the hostel was pretty good!! Meeting great people outweighs the cold showers!! XDDDD

Well onwards with some pics!!

Ok next will be Dublin, Ireland and England's Midlands!! I'm off to bed! Goodnight F'list!!
